Alpine-Mediterranean Cuisine in an Exclusive Setting
Here, you will be able to enjoy refined à la carte creations inspired by the culinary culture of the Alps-Mediterranean world. Head Chef Patrick Pass will delight your senses with modern regional dishes, accompanied by an insightfully curated selection of Austrian and international wines. The stylish, traditional setting with seating for only 12 guests serves as an exclusive oasis for discerning gourmets. Diners from outside our hotel are also warmly invited to discover this special place.

The Master of Flavor
The new head chef at Hotel DAS KOHLMAYR is a young Carinthian with roots in Hermagor, who honed his craft on Lake Weissensee. His culinary journey has taken him from Switzerland to Mallorca and ultimately to Obertauern. Over the course of his career to date, he has already been awarded 3 toques by Gault & Millau.
His passion lies in the creative reinterpretation of regional ingredients. He is particularly intrigued by the diversity of aromatics, which he integrates into his dishes with an open, international spirit. At his side is Sous Chef Marlene Ebenführer, who both inspires and supports him.

We are proud to announce that our restaurant was honored with two toques and 13 points in 2022/23. This year, 2023/24, we have raised the bar even higher, once again receiving two toques – but this time achieving 14 points.
